East India Dock

In the heart of Blackwall, East London, once stood the historic East India Docks, an impressive group of docks situated to the northeast of the Isle of Dogs. Though the passage of time has left only the entrance basin and the listed perimeter wall as visible remnants of this rich past, Waterscapes had the opportunity to breathe new life into this area.

Through careful renovation and thoughtful design, the existing docks have been transformed into a sleek and contemporary urban landscape. The vision includes the mesmerising addition of waterfalls that bring a sense of tranquillity and beauty to the surroundings. Implementing circulation and aeration equipment ensures the water remains fresh and vibrant, promoting a healthy aquatic ecosystem.

In this revitalisation effort, the dockside landscape has been adorned with elegantly crafted planters, and an advanced automatic irrigation system from Waterscapes, that ensures that the greenery thrives in this urban oasis. The result is a seamless fusion of nature and modernity, creating a captivating space that celebrates the heritage of the East India Docks while embracing the aspirations of today's urban landscape.
